The Oakland Aviation Museum is an extraordinary venue that will make a
lasting impression on your guests. Hold your event in one of America's
oldest airplane hangars and enjoy rare aircraft and
fascinating aviation exhibits. The hangar is a sophisticated, unique
space with spectacular architecture and a hip, industrial feel.
Oakland Aviation Museum has two event spaces available for rent as follows:
- Hangar Event Space - 4,012 square feet w/ 13' door height
Maximum capacity 300 - Gallery Room - 1,000 square feet w/ 6' door height
Maximum capacity 50

Gallery Room events
- $75.00 per hour during event (2 hour min.)
- $100.00 cleaning fee
- $50.00 per hour set-up time prior to the event (1 hour min. with event rental)
Hangar events during open hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm
- $100.00 per hour during event (2 hour min.)
- $200.00 cleaning fee
- $75.00 per hour set-up time prior to the event (1 hour min. with event rental)
Hangar event during non-business hours of 4:00pm to 10:00pm
- $100.00 per hour during event (2 hour min.)
- $200.00 cleaning fee
- $75.00 per hour set-up time prior to event (1 hour min. with event rental)
- $200 space preparation fee (move aircraft)
- $150.00 After-hours staffing fee (required)
- (firm 10:00pm close time on after-hours events)
Included in the basic rental fee:
- Use of event space
- Access to museum exhibits
- Access to restroom facilities
- Access to event space bar and kitchen facilities
- Lined trash receptacles and access to dumpster
Additional services/rental items:
- Table rental $5.00 each
- Table set-up & take-down $1.00 each
- Chair rental $0.50 each
- Chair set-up & take-down $0.50 each
- Wireless internet $25.00 (available in the Meeting Room only during the scheduled event period)
- Coffee urn $25.00 each (2 units available)
- Group flying boat tours $125.00 for 1 hour of open time + docent
- Parking attendants $100.00
- Podium with PA rental $50.00
- Sound system rental $100.00
- Event space decorating $200.00 (Use of long ladders or man lift)
Conditions
- Food is not allowed in the hangar outside the event area and drinks are not allowed in any exhibit room.
- Hangar events during business hours (10:00am to 4:00pm) - The public has access to all areas of the Museum during open hours.
- Caterer is required for all events over 50 guests.
- Parking attendant is required for all events over 80 guests.
- Events require a
$1million general liability certificate of insurance with the museum
listed as the additional named insured for the date and time of the
event.
